I would like to encrypt large folders, can ShyFile do the job?

Yes, starting from version 6.18, ShyFile will not only allow the user to encrypt multiple binary files, but also encrypt a whole folder (with its subfolders) in a single run and packs its contents into a single secured file.

However, please note that there is a limitation when it comes to the way you formatted your destination volume. Since ShyFile always packs all the ciphertext into a single file, it might become essential to know the maximum file size your volume supports. In the process of encrypting, ShyFile adds roughly 4% junk data to the ciphertext, i.e. if the size of all the data you intend to encrypt (whether it be multiple files, folders or a whole hard drive) exceeds 96.something% of the maximum file size your destination volume allows, ShyFile will have to cripple your ciphertext.

FAT has a maximum file size of 2 GB.
FAT32 has a maximum file size of 4 GB.
NTFS file size limited only by size of volume.
