How do I update my ShyFile installation?

1. Un-install your old version of ShyFile. To do so, select Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, click on ShyFile in the program listing, follow the prompts to remove all files, and if asked, click Yes to remove all shared files too.

2. Download the latest version of ShyFile from the download page on our website; the one without the MS Framework will do.

3. Close all programs currently running, especially your virus shield. If all programs are not closed when you install ShyFile, your system may be disrupted.

4. Then double-click on the new setup file to initiate the installation.

Problems during Installation?

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the ".NET Microsoft Framework" from your system as well. Don't worry about losing your framework, you will get a new one when installing ShyFile.

Activation?

ShyFile will most likely not ask to be activated again if it gets installed on the same system it was previously installed as well as activated on. However, if it does, we will issue a new Activation Key to you for free.
