How do I install ShyFile?

1. Un-install your old version of ShyFile (if any). To do so, select Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, click on ShyFile in the program listing, follow the prompts to remove all files, and if asked, click Yes to remove all shared files too.

2. Close all programs you have running, especially your virus shield. If all programs are not closed when you install ShyFile, your system may be disrupted.

3. If you have a ShyFile CD-ROM, insert it into your CD drive. If the installation is not automatically initiated, click Start > Run on the Windows desktop. In the box that appears, locate your CD drive and choose "setup.exe". If you do not have a CD-Rom, or your CD-Rom is not up-to-date, download the latest ShyFile setup file from the download page on our website. Then double click on the newly downloaded setup file to initiate the installation.

Problems during Installation?

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the "Microsoft .NET Framework" from your system as well. Don't worry about losing your framework, you will get a new one when installing ShyFile.
