If I choose to open an encoded ShyFile by double-clicking on it, no application will take care of it, let alone my Internet browser.

If you double-click on a secured ShyFile that contains plain text information only (those having a .txt, .hta, .htm or .html extension) your Internet browser usually will open it and prompt the user to enter the matching key before decoding it. However, if your Internet browser does not open, you tried to open a ShyFile that carries secured binary information. In this case we strongly recommend you download and install the latest version of ShyFile from our website. Starting from version 6.20, ShyFile recognizes files that carry secured binary information automatically since their file extension (.shy) gets associated to the ShyFile program in the Windows registry.
